About me.

Kia ora, I’m Nick Healy — a designer who thrives at the intersection of industrial design, UX/UI, and human-computer interaction. I specialise in crafting thoughtful, user-centred solutions that respond to real-world needs, with a particular interest in how people interact with emerging technologies like shared autonomous vehicles.

With a Master of Design (Hons) under my belt, my work is grounded in research and shaped by systems thinking. Whether I’m prototyping a physical product or designing an interface, I focus on the entire experiencezooming out to consider the broader context, and zooming in to perfect the smallest details.

My design approach combines hands-on experimentation, participatory research, and a deep commitment to accessibility and comfort. From user interfaces and experiences to physical products mitigating motion sickness to enabling personalisation in mobile environments, I strive to make every interaction more intuitive, empowering, and human.

I believe good design doesn’t just look good, it fits seamlessly into people’s lives.
